We all struggle with some part of our life, and there is no shame in seeking help for those struggles. We seek help when we know something is out of balance, and through a collaborative process we will work to re-balance your life. My job is to give you tools and help you process all facets of wellness with deeper
understanding. Your job is to work hard, use the tools, and trust the process!
You may love your partner, but right now you may not like them very much. In
couples therapy, it is my job to draw on a well of skills, tools and techniques to
reconnect you and your loved one. It is your job to be patient, open-minded, and
respectful toward your significant other and the therapeutic process. Remember how it felt when you two were first dating? Let’s find that place again.
Sometimes our family makes us want to pull our hair out, and other times they are where we find the most comfort in this crazy world. The beautiful thing about family is we can feel both of those at the same time! My goal in working with families is to ultimately have improved relationship dynamics, a stronger sense of closeness,
effective communication and mutual respect and appreciation for all members.
Sometimes I may split the family up to work with certain dyads (two individuals), or I may request to always have the entire family present. This all depends on the
presenting needs. Together we will work to achieve both short and long term goals to alleviate family stressors.
Being a teenager is tough! These formative years can trigger significant stress,
confusion and emotional instability. Adolescents are surrounded by chaos, constant changes, and a roller coaster of hormones. I totally get all this, and it is one of my promises to provide an understanding, nonjudgmental space to be heard. Once we are in this space, that’s when all the fun begins and we can start tackling whatever life throws at us.
Family participation is a necessary part of helping an adolescent, so I may request that the initial session include key family members, and future inclusion may be
requested (In the state of Colorado, adolescents 15+ years of age are able to pursue therapy without parental consent).
I naturally weave mindfulness into all my work, as I know it is a key component in holistic health and well being. However, as a trained mindfulness facilitator, I offer specialized training, tailored specifically to your life. During our time together, I will teach present-centered awareness: awareness of our thoughts, our emotions, our
bodies and our surroundings. Once aware, you will learn what to do in moments of
discomfort, ways to combat daily stressors, ways to calm heightened emotions, and gain a new, increasingly appreciative perspective of the world.

It’s become quite popular for couples to seek premarital therapy before tying the knot. Most couples state they do this in order to make sure all their “bases” are
covered. In premarital counseling, I work hard to make sure we have every
important conversation addressed, and every feeling on the table. With this
foundation, couples can move forward into their union with the utmost confidence in
themselves, and in one another.
